Rotary Drilling Hose — Rotary Vibrator/Drilling Hose
High-pressure flexible hose carrying drilling mud, for standpipe-to-swivel or pump-to-standpipe service in rotary drilling operations, to API Spec 7K.
Product Overview
The rotary drilling hose is a high-pressure flexible connection that carries drilling mud between the standpipe and the rotary swivel (in rotary drilling) or between the mud pump and the standpipe (in rotary vibrator service). It is engineered to withstand very high mud pumping pressures together with the temperature swings and pulsating pressure produced by directional drilling, and on some offshore rigs it is also used as a motion-compensator hose. Tose'e Tejarat Sayyalat supplies this product to drilling contractors and well service companies to the technical requirements of each project.
Construction
- Tube: modified nitrile, resistant to abrasive, corrosive and oily drilling mud
- Reinforcement: multiple layers of textile fabric and high-tensile steel cable, with an intermediate rubber layer between the cable plies
- Cover: modified nitrile with special resistance to abrasion, corrosion, cutting, oil and weathering
- Couplings: swaged couplings; available with hammer union, flange, hub or male thread end connections
- Sour-service version: available with an HNBR tube to API Spec 7K – NACE MR0175 for H2S service
Applications
- Standpipe-to-swivel connection in rotary drilling operations
- Mud pump-to-standpipe connection (rotary vibrator service)
- Directional drilling under pulsating pressure and elevated temperature
- Motion-compensator hose on offshore drilling rigs
