Product Overview
BOP hose is a pressure control hose used in the hydraulic circuit of the blowout preventer system and in the Choke & Kill lines of well control equipment on drilling rigs. It forms part of a system used in oil and gas drilling, in accordance with API Spec 16C, to control wellhead pressure and prevent an uncontrolled blowout. The hose must therefore not only withstand high static pressure but also resist pressure impulse, abrasion and the harsh conditions of the rig environment. Drawing on its technical expertise in assembling and crimping high-pressure hose, and using European materials, Tose'e Tejarat Sayyalat has begun domestic production of this product and is currently the only manufacturer of BOP hose in Iran.
Construction of the hose we manufacture
The BOP hose we manufacture is designed and assembled for a working pressure (WP) of 380 bar, with a fire-resistant outer cover to withstand heat and possible flame in the rig environment. The outer layer incorporates a flexible corrugated metal hose in 316 stainless steel, which increases the mechanical and thermal resistance of the assembly. Sample product is pressure tested to 1,000 bar before delivery.

- Tube: Oil-resistant nitrile (NBR), black.
- Reinforcement: Multiple layers of high-tensile steel wire.
- Cover: Special fire-resistant rubber, fibreglass impregnated.
- Temperature range: −40 to +100 °C (−40 to +212 °F).
- Coupling type: Skive type.
In plain terms: This hose is in effect the safety line of the blowout preventer system: if wellhead pressure rises suddenly, it carries the command to close in or control the well from the control station to the BOP equipment. That is why it must both withstand very high pressure and resist fire.
