Product Overview
SAE 100R15 is the highest pressure grade in the wire-braided hose family in the technical catalogue. Sizes up to 1.1/4 inch are reinforced with up to four spiral steel wire layers, and sizes up to 1.1/2 inch with up to six. The cover carries MSHA approval (the US Mine Safety and Health Administration) and the hose is designed for very heavy industrial and mining duty.

Selection guidance for buyers: R15 is more expensive and heavier than the lower grades in the wire-braided hose family. It is best specified only where the circuit's actual working pressure exceeds 400 bar, or where there is a history of severe pressure impulse and repeated flexing. Otherwise the R2AT or 4SH grade is the more economical choice.
