In plain terms: On these fittings the paired number marked on the body (such as 6×4 or 8×6) gives the outside and inside diameter of the tubing they accept — not the thread size. To avoid ordering the wrong part, always state both the tubing diameter you use and the inlet thread size (BSP or NPT).
